Online Status

For users participating as live agents in conversation, it's important to manage your online status when away from your device.

Update Status

Toggle your status from the bottom-left of the toolbar:

1. Select your avatar

2. In the menu, toggle "Set as" to Online, Away or Offline

Effects of Status

When a user is online, their avatar badge is green. If they're a live agent, they will be eligible for conversation assignments coming in.

When a user is away, their avatar badge is orange. When offline, the badge is red. In both states, the user is omitted from receiving new chats. The distinction is semantic and allows other users to observe if the user is away temporarily (e.g. on a break) or offline (e.g. off shift). If a user signs out, their badge will become grey.
